Hi! My name is Murphy Pines. I’m a director, game designer, illustrator and animator. I’ve been making comics about mental and emotional health for a few years now. It’s been an utter joy to be able to share stories and a relief to see that I’m not alone in my pain and in my journey. 
 
I’ve always dreamed of taking those lessons I’ve learned and the wisdom I’ve been fortunate enough to receive and turn them into something that could be a tangible source of comfort and support for myself and so many others who struggle with navigating difficult feelings and healing our relationship to ourselves.
 
As someone who is recovering from cPTSD, eating disorders and depression,  I've worked really hard in the past few years to heal from my past wounds and unlearn coping mechanisms and patterns that no longer help me or protect me. I learned about our relationship to emotions, the process of healing from trauma and learned about the many ways to find peace among the chaos and resilience through pain.
 
One of the most helpful skills I’ve learned in my journey has been identifying and sitting with my emotions without fear or judgment. Often the process of self reflection can be uncomfortable and challenging, especially if we are also trying to heal our wounded inner child.
 
I want this oracle deck to be a gentle guide to help us navigate through the hills and valleys of our day to day experiences with grounded compassion, informed by the lessons I’ve learned from my own experiences, the endless wisdom of those who came before us, as well as inspiration from my wonderful peers.
